Santa Visits CH Youth & Seniors
There is nothing quite like the wonder of Christmas reflected in children's faces.
The Resident and Family Services Team is bringing Holiday joy to CH residents this week!
Children and seniors at properties across the Midlands will have the chance to visit with Santa, take a special picture, and complete Christmas crafts.
Thanks to the staff making it happen and thanks to Santa for making time in his busy schedule for CH!
CH Seniors Blessed with Hot Meals from Cassandra Angelica Foundation
The Power of Partnerships - We are better together!
In keeping with holiday spirit, on Saturday, December 3rd, the Cassandra Angelica Foundation blessed the senior residents from Oak Read High Rise, and seniors from several other communities, with a delicious meal.
Everyone feasted on turkey, chicken mac & cheese, collards, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes with gravy, rice, corn bread, and desserts. With a dinner like that, no wonder there were so many smiling faces!
Our Resident & Family Services Team sends a huge THANK YOU to the Cassandra Angelica Foundation!
Resident Leaders Deliver Fruit Boxes to Seniors
Members of the Columbia Housing's Resident Executive Council (REC) have been busy as Santa's helpers.
This committed group of resident volunteers packed and delivered holiday fruit baskets for senor citizens in the Lower Saxon Senior Cottages and the Rosewood Hills Senior Cottages.
Happy Holidays!

Columbia Housing (CH) Breaks Ground on Senior Development
CH broke ground on its 2nd project of the year on December 2, 2022!
The Haven at Palmer Pointe located at 1135 Carter Street in Columbia is a $36 million-dollar development and will have 150 units for individuals ages 62+. Construction is expected to last 18 months to complete. The new community will have lots of amenities for residents including a pickleball court.
"We are delighted to break ground on another new housing community to serve the citizens in Columbia and Richland County," said CH CEO Yvonda Bean. "We expect this development, like our other new construction projects, to not only increase the supply of affordable housing but also create a significant contribution to the local economy."
Congratulations to the Columbia Housing Board of Commissioners led by Chairman Ernest Cromartie, III, Esq, CEO Yvonda Bean, and all who had a hand in bringing this project to fruition.
