Board of Commissioners
The Housing Authority of the City of Columbia, SC (also known as Columbia Housing) is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners.
At least one of the Commissioners shall be a person who is directly assisted by Columbia Housing; either a resident of or program participant. The Commissioner who is directly assisted by the authority must remain as an assisted resident in order to continue service on the Board of Commissioners.
Members of the Board are appointed and ratified by the City Council with the exception of the Commissioner, who is directly assisted by Columbia Housing; that Commissioner is appointed by the Mayor.
The Commissioners shall be appointed as aforesaid for a term of office of five years except that all vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Columbia Housing will hold its REGULARLY SCHEDULED MONTHLY BOARD MEETINGS on the third Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m., in the Board Room of Columbia Housing's Main Office located at 1917 Harden Street, Columbia SC.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Commissioners of Columbia Housing will hold COMMITTEE MEETINGS on the second Wednesday of each month virtually. Virtual login information can be obtained via the calendar module on our website.
