Columbia Housing will open the wait list for Hammond Village, located at 921 Marlboro St., Columbia, SC 29201, May 13, 2025 - May 15, 2025.
Columbia Housing will accept online applications for the newly renovated Project Based/RAD units at Hammond Village in Columbia from 8:00am Tuesday, May 13, 2025 until 5:00pm Thursday, May 15, 2025.
1,2, and 3 bedroom units are available. Up to 200 qualified applicants will be selected via lottery for placement on the waiting list.
Applications will only be available via the internet and will only be accepted digitally.

Completing an application does not guarantee placement on the waitlist. Not all households who apply will be eligible. The final waitlist will be determined using a random lottery. Waitlist lottery results are final and are not subject to appeal. Households not selected for this waitlist may reapply when the waitlist opens again. Information regarding the date, time and place of future waitlist openings will be posted in advance on this website: columbiahousingsc.org.
Foster Youth to Independence Program
Columbia Housing in partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the SC Department of Social Services will begin prescreening applicants for the Foster Youth to Independence Program. The program is available to young adults between the ages of 18-24 who have left Foster Care or will be leaving Foster Care within 90 days. TENANTS IN PUBLIC HOUSING CONVERTING TO RAD
HCV WAIT LIST NOTICE
Columbia Housing will open a Housing Choice Voucher Program waiting list ONLY for Public Housing tenants residing in properties converting to RAD. Applications will be accepted only at the time of HUD approval of relocation for the applicable RAD property. Public Housing tenants will be notified when they are eligible for this waiting list.
Columbia Housing currently provides affordable housing to approximately 15,000 residents in the Columbia Metropolitan area. There are over 2,200 units of public housing for low- and moderate-income families. Most of the properties are located near bus lines, schools, churches, and shopping facilities. On-site maintenance and management are provided for residents in the larger communities.
