Taleshia Stewart, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives - 21 Years of Service

I work in the affordable housing industry because it is a part of my life's purpose to help those in need. Housing is one of the core essentials that provides a foundation for all other things humans need for survival.

The most rewarding aspect of my work is seeing housing used as a stabilizing force to transform the lives of impoverished families. By stabilizing the family with affordable housing, we are creating opportunities for them to use it as a stepping stone to achieve self-sufficiency. The reward comes when I see that we have begun to penetrate the cycle of poverty and begin to create wealth and economic stability for future generations.
