Latoya Nix, Regional Property Manager - 11 Years of Service

I work in the affordable housing industry because I know what it's like to receive keys to your first apartment. I was only nineteen years old. I was nervous and afraid however when the property manager grasped my hand and placed two gold keys inside, I knew that this would only be my beginning. She didn't have to say it. I just felt it. The most rewarding thing about my work is that it has given me the opportunity to be in a position that l was able to place apartment keys inside the hands of many first-time apartment renters. I often share my story with them as a way to show them that I understand the fear and more importantly I let them know that this is only their beginning.
