Cynthia Boykin, Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator - 8 Years of Service

I work in the affordable housing industry because I see potential in everyone no matter their income status. My passion is to help families remove barriers that may be hindering them from becoming self-sufficient. While everyone has a purpose in life, some need guidance in order to achieve their purpose. My position as Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Coordinator at Columbia Housing allows me to help individuals/families recognize their purpose along with helping them achieve short-and long-term goals. My goal is to spread power of optimism, inspire and encourage self-reliance.

The rewarding part of my job is when I see individuals/families strengthening the pillars of resilience which are self-awareness, mindfulness, self-care, and purpose. My job allows me the opportunity to see the difference that I've made in an individual and or family's life and this in itself is PRICELESS!
