Columbia Housing Goes to SC Legislature; Testifies Before Senate Finance Committee in Support of S. 1120 Housing Tax Credit

Vison 2030
Columbia Housing is a step closer to building new affordable housing at the 1135 Carter Street sit. The new community - Haven at Palmer Pointe - will provide 150 units for seniors age 62 and older and replaces the units lost at the Marion Street public housing when it was closed due to failing building systems in 2021. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
Columbia Housing Receives $735,856 from HUD for Homeless Assistance
The Continuum of Care (CoC) Homeless Assistance Program assists chronically homeless families with disabilities by helping them move into permanent and supportive housing.
In order to qualify for this program you must be chronically homeless and disables.

Max the Vax! Latimer Manor Vaccine Clinic
Our children led the way at our Max the Vax event at Latimer manor. All day children go COVID tested then rolled up their sleeves to get vaccinated. They were bold, brave, and beautiful.
Thank you HealthForce for this valuable partnership to bring this wonderful resource directly to CH families. Thank you to the CH team working the event for creating such a welcoming atmosphere.

Columbia Housing's Resident Executive Council is getting its own office space in the Cecil Tillis Center! Thank you for all the work you do on behalf of the residents and the agency!
