Barry Hall Named Interim CEO of Columbia Housing

Columbia Housing's current Chief Operating Officer, Barry Hall, has been appointed Interim CEO by the agency's Board of Commissioners following Yvonda Bean's resignation effective February 1, 2025. 

Hall has more than twenty-six years of experience in the affordable housing industry ranging from positions in maintenance to executive administration. Prior to joining Columbia Housing in June of 2023, Hall served as Executive Director of three smaller agencies - Hall County Housing Authority in Grand Island, Nebraska, Aurora Housing Authority in Aurora, Nebraska, and Hastings Housing Authority in Hastings, Nebraska. 

For Hall, accepting the COO position in Columbia back in 2023 was a family decision. Hall's wife Janice is originally from the Midlands area. "Accepting the Chief Operations Officer position in Columbia back in 2023 was a good fit for my skill set while being closer to our family. As a former military man-my focus has always been on running a tight ship. I look forward to using that skill set leading Columbia Housing while the Board of Commissioners looks to hire a permanent CEO. The team at Columbia Housing is strong and we are looking forward to making additional progress as it relates to our mission, vision, and goals."
