Social-Distancing Protocols in Wake of Coronavirus Pandemic
Columbia, SC----Columbia Housing will observe regular operational hours with restricted access to administration buildings as the Midlands community responds to concerns about tempering the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
In consultation with area heath officials, Columbia Housing will temporarily close general public access to its Main Lobby at 1917 Harden Street; its Satellite Property Management Offices; and Community Rooms at its independent living facilities (Oak Read High Rise; Marion Street High Rise; Rosewood Hills High Rise; Arrington Manor) and family developments (Latimer Manor, Eastover Community Room & Tillis Center). Emergency Protocol: Main Lobby
Effective March 17-The Main Lobby will be temporarily closed to general public access.
Emergency Protocol: Property Management Offices
Effective March 18-The Property Management Offices will be temporarily closed to general public access.
Emergency Protocol: Independent Living Facilities (Oak Read High Rise; Marion Street High Rise; Rosewood Hills High Rise; Arrington Manor) and Family Developments (Latimer Manor, Eastover Community Room & Tillis Center).
Effective March 18- The Community Rooms at Independent Living Facilities (Oak Read High Rise, Marion Street High Rise, Rosewood Hills High Rise, Arrington Manor) and Family Developments (Latimer Manor, Eastover Community Room & Tillis Center) are temporarily closed until further notice
Interim Executive Director Ivory Mathews says "In this difficult time, Columbia Housing must balance a host of competing priorities. We are concerned about the well-being and safety of our staff and families, our residents, and the general public. We are also keenly aware of the dire need to continue offering safe, decent, and affordable housing to our most vulnerable neighbors, and the health and wellbeing of the greater Midlands community at large."
If residents have issues or concerns that need to bring to the attention of Columbia Housing Management and Staff-they are asked to call 803-251-2747 to report the issue. If they have forms or information to drop off, they can leave it in the Drop Box in front of the Columbia Housing Headquarters Building at 1917 Harden Street. They will receive a response within a 24-hour period.
